Tourism has been identified as one of the primary economic sectors in Southern Africa and the world as a whole. The industry is also a very exiting one, capable of revealing the richness and diversity of its locality whilst providing local socio-economic benefits. As an attraction- and activity-based industry, it is of critical importance that destinations and the activities and facilities to be provided are planned and designed in a manner that will ensure long term sustainable operation.

To this end SPOOR endeavours to use the local cultural knowledge base as well as the attributes of the natural environment of a destination to assist clients in developing environmentally sensitive but attractive tourism activities and facilities.
